Coming September 18, 2025 and throughout the month of September, the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley will be celebrating International Find the Good Day! Find the Good Day is not just a date on the calendar; it’s a movement that reflects the timeless spirit of Junior Leagues – a legacy of kindness, empowerment, and community transformation. Together, we aim to make a difference by embracing the power of unity, positive change, and finding the good.

How Are We Celebrating This Year?

Mental Health Awareness General Membership Meeting (GMM)

On September 17th at 6 PM, we will host a mental health awareness-themed GMM at Venture X in Bethlehem. We are asking our members to bring in sensory items from CSC’s wishlist. These items will be used to stock a new sensory closet for their students!

This sensory closet is the first project with our new partner, Community Services with Children (CSC). It will provide CSC educators with a valuable resource to support children who may need a calm, controlled space to manage sensory input. These tools will help promote emotional regulation, focus, and well-being – whether a child needs to calm down, re-energize, or simply feel safe.

Renovation for a Cause

Also, the JLLVPA has been working hard alongside our long-time partner, Third Street Alliance, to transform space that will directly benefit families in our community. Third Street Alliance provides vital housing and early childhood education resources to Lehigh Valley families, and we are proud to support their mission.

On September 24th, we’ll celebrate this partnership with a ribbon-cutting event at Third Street Alliance. Together, we’ll unveil the beautifully renovated space, hear more about the incredible work happening at Third Street Alliance, and take time to reflect on the importance of mental health support within our League and across the community.

This event is not only a celebration of the renovations but also of the meaningful impact created when JLLVPA members and community partners come together. Join us for activities that inspire reflection, reconnection, and recognition of the good we all do.

Join the Movement

You don’t have to be a Junior League Member to participate in Find the Good Day. This day is for everyone! Use it as an opportunity to focus on the good in your community. While it’s easy to point out the negatives, today is a day to shine a light on the positives around us. It’s time to uplift others and take action to make a difference. Today is a day for good deeds, spreading kindness, and making a positive impact in your community. Whether it’s helping a neighbor, volunteering at a local charity, or simply offering a kind word, every act of goodwill contributes to the greater good.

If you find yourself inspired and want to do even more for your community, consider learning more about the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley. As a Member, you can receive training, mentorship, and the support needed to become a Leader and advocate for meaningful change.
